Best (covid weddings!) Of 2020!!
(I know, I know, could there be a worse year than 2020?! But still, positive pants on and all that!)
2020 - The year of elbow bumps and no hugs, of socially distanced selfies and Zoom congregations, of face masks, hand sanitiser, and 15 guests; this should have been my busiest year to date, so to go from being fully booked to dealing with postponements and cancellations has been heartbreaking, especially for my 2020 couples! But despite all that this shit-show of a year has thrown at us, I managed to squeeze four beautiful weddings out of it - four amazing celebrations with close friends and family, four gorgeous new venues that I've never worked at before, and four weddings filled with fun and laughter! So maybe it hasn't been all bad.. this was also the year I won my first documentary wedding photography award from Photographers Keeping It Real, and was nominated for Rangefinder Magazine's 30 Rising Stars Of Wedding Photography (which has been a goal of mine ever since I started photographing weddings!)
I would never have thought we'd be coordinating face masks with bridesmaid dresses, but here we are!

This Is 2020!
Big thank you to St Winifrids in Harrogate, Middleton Lodge North Yorkshire, The Woodman Inn in Huddersfield, and The Priests House in Skipton who all handled their covid-safe weddings amazingly well!
I’m so lucky to have been part of these four lovely weddings this year - I really do have the best job in the world! Big shout out to the lovely couples who trusted me enough to capture their special day during these crazy times, and to all my couples who have had to postpone, here's to epic dancefloors and kissing each others faces in 2021!
