A Lockdown Micro-Wedding In Harrogate
Harrogate Wedding Photographer
Elbow bumps, socially distanced hugs, a socially distanced confetti line and a pre packed picnic tea for the guests - this small lockdown wedding was an unusual one for me, but then nothing is usual at the moment! After the pandemic meant they had to postpone their original April wedding date, Becky & Tom jumped at the chance to hold their wedding as soon as restrictions were lifted at the beginning of July. They were married at the beautiful St Wilfrid's church in Harrogate with just a handful of their nearest and dearest as guests, with the rest of their would-be guests watching via a Facebook live stream which was seen by friends and family as far away as Saudi! The church handled their first wedding back brilliantly, with plenty hand sanitiser, socially distanced seating, no handling of the rings and a well thought out register signing; it was a beautiful, fun, lighthearted ceremony after such a difficult few months!
After the ceremony and avoiding the rain showers, we had a walk to Valley Gardens in Harrogate for some lovely portraits and a couple of family photos; it was such a lovely simple day - heres to the big party next year!
